La Quiete's "Tenpuen"




La Quiete is a band from Italy. The band 's drummer also played in the now defunct Italian band Raein.
Like many bands in the DIY hardcore scene, they have released many splits with bands including Acrimonie, Catena Collapse, The Apoplexy Twist Orchestra, k.c. milian, The Pine and Louise Cyphre. They also released the full-lenght La Fine Non è La Fine and a 7"+VCD with three videos made by Italian artists Erica il Cane, Blu and Kabu. Their latest album, Tenpeun 01-05, contains songs from various past splits, demos, unpublished songs and videos.


La Quiete, translated to english, means "the quietness", a reference to the swedish movie "Tystnaden" by Ingmar Bergman.

Raein's "Il n'y Pass de Orchestre"

Raein was a band from Forlì, Italy. The band features members of La Quiete and Neil on Impression. They announced their split in 2006.
They recently reformed for a show in Bologna, in Sept 2007. Andrea is joining La Quiete for Japanese tour 2007.

Animal collective's "Campfire Songs"



In , in Baltimore, MD, David Portner (aka Avey Tare) and Noah Lennox (aka Panda Bear) established Animal Collective with the issue of Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished on their own Animal imprint. It was the first of a series of captivating releases exploring the fringes of , , , , and twisted . Joined by their friend Geologist (aka Brian Weitz), Avey Tare and Panda Bear, followed by a live release documenting their debut tour with Black Dice. Here Comes the Indian (Paw Tracks), featuring Deakin (Josh Dibb) for the first time, was issued in to considerable acclaim, and the Collective backed it up with the droning, folky simmer of Campfire Songs, again for Catsup Plate. (FatCat also became the group's European sponsor, issuing their first two albums as a package and signing them for future releases.) Animal Collective returned in May with Sung Tongs, a mysterious, fragilely melodic album that garnered even more critical acclaim and spawned a series of tours. Panda Bear issued Young Prayer, his solo debut, in September . The Prospect Hummer EP, which featured a collaboration with Vashti Bunyan, appeared in May , and the full-length Feels followed in October of that year. In January they signed to Domino Records. Panda Bear Released another LP, 'Person Pitch' which was a major departure from his last efforts. On September 11th, 2007 Animal Collective released the album Strawberry Jam, featuring lead single 'Peacebone'.

Portrait's discography


Portrait existed in Atlanta, ga from 1996 until 2001. For many individuals portrait is one of the pioneers of the modern (circa 2002-2004) “screamo” sound.
They released several albums:“all my chances” 7”,the s/t 10”, the debut 7”, the four song demo. All of this and one extra song are on the Portrait "complete discography" cd from stickfigurerecords.
The band has a very energetic sound. Tough but not too tough. Emotional but not too emotional. Agressive but not too... Great combination of guitar work with viola. This band has it all. From sweet melodic parts too Rough hardcore driven tunes

Dystopia's "self-titled"

Formed in Orange County, California in 1991, Dystopia are a sludge band, popular in both the heavy metal and crust punk scenes, due in large part to their bleak, misanthropic imagery. Lyrics often deal with human emotion and social or political issues, such as environmentalism, racial equality, animal rights, and veganism or vegetarianism.Dystopia is a band that has intense views against society, humanity and pollution. Dystopia is a soundtrack for the world as we know it today. Their sound embodies all of the horrors, pain, agony and desperation of modern day society.
